After working up an appetite, visitors can stop by the Brady Mountain resort restaurant for home cooked meals and pies. Lake Ouachita, one of the deepest and purest lakes in the U.S., is famous for its excellent fishing and hundreds of secluded islands, great for private swims. The resort includes a full service marina, providing covered overnight boat slips, with 24-hour security, as well as a full fleet of boats and water toys. When Brady Mountain Resort owner Ned Bass, who has built his own docks for the past 20 years, wanted to expand the marina with commercially built docks, he chose the quality systems of Atlantic Meeco. Atlantic Meeco worked alongside Bass to design the docks and utilized his telescoping pipe anchor system, which self-adjusts to fluctuating water levels and provides maintenance cost savings. Bass also provided the block flotation and did the anchoring. Atlantic Meeco installed four covered docks with extra large slips. These docks include sixteen 85' slips, thirty-six 70' slips, sixteen 60' slips, twenty 50' slips, sixteen 40' slips and sixty 30' slips.
The docks feature durable concrete decking, with an attractive rock aggregate finish for safe footing. The strong, galvanized steel roofing is
constructed with structural ribs every 6" on center, for holding heavier loads of ice and snow. Other features include underwater triangle trusses that strengthen the dock system, stabilize slip dividers and transfer loads throughout the system. Reinforced columns provide ultimate strength. Lastly, all dock structures and accessories, as well as roofing columns and purlins are galvanized for corrosion protection.
"Atlantic Meeco is the #1 dock builder," says Bass. "No other company can match its high-quality product and excellent price," he added.
